Penned and Painted

I love two step, or in this case three step stamping.  It brings such dimension to the stamped image. AND you don't have to be an artist or know how to watercolor to get that level of shading.

This is the new SU Penned and Painted stamp set from the new 2016 - 2017 SU catalog. It took a couple of tries but overall very easy.

I used two colors for the flowers, Flirty Flamingo and Watermelon Wonder. I used the Flirty Flamingo first with the flower background stamp and stamped off before stamping on the card. Then I used Flirty Flamingo again with the second stamp but did not stamp off. Last with the flower outline stamp I used Watermelon Wonder and did not stamp off.

I used the same technique as described above but used So Saffron and Hello Honey for the first card and Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the second card.

Another day I will get more creative with my designs, just trying to get down the technique with the stamp set today.
