Hello
Crafters!
Today I’ve
got to send a birthday card to my nephew. He’s a teenager and always
appreciates a little pocket change. Who doesn’t, right! This card is pretty
quick to complete as it doesn’t have a lot of layers but still looks great. The
stamp set I used is perfect! It’s a new set from the 2017-2018 Stampin Up
catalog and is called Pocketful of Sunshine. It also has coordinating Pocket
Framelit Dies. The pocket is ideal for holding money or gift cards. Can’t wait
to play with this one for Christmas as well. Maybe a pocket on Santa’s suit?
Hmmm…
I have three cards for you today. The first two
are similar and I just switched the colors and labels around a bit.
Measurements:
Card
Base: Cut 8.5" x 5.5" Score at 4.25" on long side
Cardstock colors: Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink colors: Dapper Denim, Marina Mist
Tag is done with a scrap piece of Real Red and embossed with White
Embossing Powder
Stitching on the blue jean pockets was done with Copper Embossing
Powder. Wow did it come out great! Looks
just like the stitching on real jeans. I was really impressed.
The last card is done with Whisper White as the Base Card (same
measurement as above) and I created a background using the pocket stitching
stamp and Marina Mist ink. Pocket Framelit is using Dapper Denim cardstock, the
sun is in Daffodil Delight, and the sunglasses are in Real Read for some pop of
color.

coordinating Flourish Thinlits. PDF includes all measurements, instructions,
